I haven't heard much of anything about Get Low since the Toronto Film Festival. I didn't even know it got distribution, but apparently it has. The film stars Robert Duvall in a performance that has been hailed by critics already, as a town outsider who decides to stage his own funeral. He does this so that all the people in town can fill him in on the stories, lies, and gossip that has been spread about him over the years. Bill Murray, Lucas Black, and Sissy Spacek also co-star. First time director Aaron Schneider is helming the project.
This one looks like a winner, but considering it's coming out on July 30th right in the heart of the summer season, chances are it's going to be tough to find at your local theater. Let's hope not. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think!
