THR is reporting that the two are planning a big screen biopic about Belushi, who died of a drug overdose back in 1982. Belushi's wife, Judy Belushi Pisano, wrote a biography about her late husband, from which most of the film will likely be based. She is credited as a producer on the film. No word on if Phillips will direct, although it's a possibility.
The question turns to whether or not Belushi's many notable friends(Robin Williams, Dan Akroyd, etc.) will sign off on having their likenesses used. And then there's the matter of who will actually play the role. Chiklis wasn't a good fit back then, but that was also his first real role.
