After being spotted next to his Kick-Ass director, Matthew Vaughn, the speculaton ran rampant that Aaron Johnson would be starring as Cyclops in X-Men: First Class. Barely a month later, those rumors were thrown into question, and it's been relatively quiet ever since. Now we have a confirmation, and it sounds like the search for the X-men's stoic leader is back on.
In an interview with Movieweb, producer Tarquin Pack pretty much confirmed that Johnson's heavy schedule will prevent him from donning the ruby quartz visor anytime soon...
"Don't believe everything you read in the papers about Aaron, unfortunately. Aaron's kind of busy, yeah,"
That's too bad, because Johnson would've made a perfect young Scott Summers. Let's just hope they jump next to another young, up and coming talent. Pretty much anybody who was up for playing Spider-Man in the reboot will likely be considered.
