Chris Zylka confirmed as Flash Thompson in Spider-Man

In Sam Raimi's Spider-Man flicks, Peter Parker's sometimes friend/sometimes nemesis Flash Thompson was an afterthought. He'll apparently be a much bigger part of Marc Webb's version, as it's now been confirmed that Chris Zylka has been cast for the role.

Last month Zylka tweeted to everyone that he had won the part, but a confirmation from Sony never came. Now it's being confirmed by The Wrap.  Zylka is probably best known for his recurring role on Hanna Montana, alongside Miley Cyrus.
