MSN has debuted our first look at the cast of
X-Men: First Class, the superhero prequel directed by Matthew Vaughn(Kick-Ass). The film chronicles the early days of the mutant movement, following the friendship between Professor Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr(the future Magneto) before they became bitter enemies. Check out the image below!
It's nothing more than a cast line-up, but I've always found shots like this to be hella cool. So we've got Michael Fassbender as Magneto; Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert; January Jones as Emma Frost; Jason Flymyng as Azazel; Nicholas Hoult lurking in the background as Beast; I think that's Lucas Till as Alex Summers, or possibly Caleb Landry as Banshee; that's probably Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore; Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique; and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier.
Right away, they've clearly done a bang up job recreating Mystique's look for Lawrence. The addition of Azazel to this image indicates that he's going to be a major player in the story, but where's Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw?
I think we can reasonably expect to see a teaser trailer in the very near future, now that we're starting to get promo images like this. X-Men: First Class hits theaters on June 3rd, 2011!
