Whoever called TV the place where movie stars go to die(I can't remember who told me that once) apparently doesn't know JB Smoove. Not that he was ever a movie star, but the funnyman has used his scene stealing time on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm to really crank up his profile. Not only will he be appearing in David Gordon Green's comedy, The Sitter, later this year, but now he'll be popping up in Cameron Crowe's next flick, We Bought a Zoo.
As we know by now, the film is based on Benjamin Mee's 2008 memoir about the time he and his family spent running a broken down zoo. The film stars Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Elle Fanning, Patrick Fugit, and Thomas Hayden Church. No word on yet on who Smoove will be playing, but you can bet your butt it'll be funny. As long as he sticks around on Curb Your Enthusiasm I don't care what he does. He might be the funniest guy on TV right now.
