Robinov also stated that scripts are underway for movies centered around Wonder Woman and The Flash. Wonder Woman is already being prepped for TV, but Robinov compares that to when Superman Returns
If that were to be the case, Batman would still need to be at the center of it, and Robinov addresses that as well, basically confirming what we all knew that The Dark Knight Rises would be the end for Christopher Nolan. Robinov doesn't seem worried about it, and states that a "reinvention" of the franchise would be necessary, and that Nolan will be involved...
Robinov: “We have the third Batman, but then we’ll have to reinvent Batman…Chris Nolan and [producing partner and wife] Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is.”
Now he doesn't outright say it'll be a reboot. Since nobody knows much of anything about The Dark Knight Rises, who's to say the torch won't be passed in some way? With a new actor playing Batman, Ryan Reynolds keyed in for multiple Green Lantern films, and other superhero projects on the way, 2013 could be DC and Warner Brothers' next big salvo in the comic book movie wars.
I know I just posted that I had some serious doubts that this could be pulled off, but I like Robinov's confidence, and he already sounds like he has a plan in order. There's been rumors since last summer that Justice League was quietly in development, and even though it was before the Rubinov regime, it could be further along than we thought. I hope so. I'd love to see Marvel and DC squaring off at the movies the way they do at comic shops.
