Trailer Time: Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown

Warner Brothers has released a trailer for Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown, the 45th animated special featuring the classic Peanuts characters created by the late Charles M. Schultz. The 'toon was first announced last year at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as the Snoopy float passed by overhead, and like all the other specials since Schultz passed away, it's based on some of his earlier work.

This one is centered on Charlie Brown's best friend, Linus, and everybody's attempts to rid him of his literal security blanket.  My favorite character by far. Ok, except for Franklin.

I'm a sucker for anything Peanuts, as anyone who's seen my Charlie Brown t-shirts and Christmas ornaments knows. This will be the first one to be released since the passing of longtime collaborator and Snoopy voice artist, Bill Melendez, so this is a little bittersweet. From the trailer I can tell the voices aren't quite the same, but I don't think that will matter much. I can get ued to it.The special is supposed to air on television some time this year, but it's being released on DVD and Blu-Ray on March 29th!
