Lenny Kravitz to make Jennifer Lawrence look fabulous in The Hunger Games

Some people might have had a different idea of who should play Cinna, the stylist/colleague to Katniss Everdeen(Jennifer Lawrence) in The Hunger Games, but ever since he was first rumored to be up for a role I knew Lenny Kravitz was it. Why? The dude has more pairs of sunglasses than I do pants, and can make a scarf look good even in the summer time. Give that man the job! Looks like I got my wish, as Kravitz has now been confirmed for the part. With daughter Zoe about to be featured in X-Men: First Class, the Kravitz clan is ridin' high right now.


Even though Gary Ross's adaptation is still about a year away from release, no other film has stirred up more casting interest, due to it's extremely large cast and the popularity of the novels. The story centers around a not too distant future, where the ruling Capitol forces it's 12 Districts to elect two of their young to fight to the death in an annual competition.

Cinna is one of the most important characters in The Hunger Games. His extravagant outfits designed for Katniss often are designed as a way of expressing dangerous ideas against the Capitol.

Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Wes Bentley, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, and about two dozen more folks are set to star when the film drops on March 23rd 2012!
