Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, and Toby Jones to play Dwarfs in Snow White and the Huntsman

This Snow White flick battle royale is starting to get crazy. Pretty much since day one I've been leaning towards The Brothers Grimm: Snow White as the flick to watch. Mainly because it had visual master Tarsem Singh(The Fall) at the helm, and Julia Roberts set as the evil queen. On the other side was Snow White and the Huntsman, a more action-oriented flick that was struggling to find a lead. Kristen Stewart was down for Snow White, with Charlize Theron as the queen. Chris Hemsworth was ultimately chosen as the Huntsman, but I still wasn't enthused by any of it. It's not until the last day or so that my opinion has started to turn as the eight dwarven roles have started to be filled.

Yesterday we learned that Ian McShane(Deadwood) would play Caesar, the leader of the eight dwarfs in the film. One of the questions I had was whether they would look to casting more known stars to fill the rest of the ranks or settle on newcomers, and clearly it was the former. THR reports that Eddie Izzard(Cars 2), Bob Hoskins(Who Framed Roger Rabbit?), Toby Jones(The Painted Veil), Eddie Marsan(Happy-Go-Lucky), and Stephen Graham(Snatch) have all joined the film. Izzard, who is currently killing it in Cars 2, will be Timberius, the largest of the dwarfs. Hoskins is Constantine, the oldest of the group. Jones is Claudius, the weakest. Marsan and Graham's roles aren't confirmed yet but I'm betting they'll be a part of the group as well.

Considering the number of my favorite actors now setting up shop in Rupert Sanders' film I can no longer pass this off as the also-ran in the Snow White sweepstakes.
