The Film Stage has the first official look at Kate Beckinsale as Selene in Underworld: Awakening, the fourth film in the vamps vs. werewolves series started by Len Wiseman. Wiseman, who happens to be Beckinsale's husband, is on board to produce. Picking up the directing reigns are the Swedish directing duo of Bjorn Stein and Mans Marlind(Shelter).
Picking up some time after Underworld: Evolution
, Selene has broken free from imprisonment and entered a world where humans know of the existence of vampires and Lycans, and are actively trying to exterminate both clans. Michael Ealy, India Eisley, Sandrine Holt(swoon!!), Charles Dance, and Robert Lawrenson co-star. Look for it during the early year dregs on January 20th, 2012.
