Tops at the Box Office: Transformers rules for a 2nd week

1. Transformers: Dark of the Moon- $47M/$261M
With only two weekends under it's belt, Transformers 3 is already the highest grossing domestic film of 2011, surpassing The Hangover 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Suffering a not too shabby 51% drop,  it remains to be seen if it can catch up to Pirates' global haul, at just over $1B.
2. Horrible Bosses- $28.1M
The R-rated comedy boom continues, as Seth Gordon's murderous workplace comedy debuted at just a hair less than Bad Teacher($31M) and a bit more than Bridesmaids($26M).  A smart marketing campaign helped, along with a couple of eye catching trailers featuring a saucy Jennifer Aniston and balding Colin Farrell.  Then again it could just be because with the economy sucking wind, people want to see their bosses getting axed...literally.

3. Zookeeper- $21M
Kevin James + Sucky Occupation = $$. Featuring a ton of celebrity cameos as talking animals, this one got off to a higher than expected number, although it's less than Paul Blart: Mall Cop's $32M debut.
4. Cars 2- $15.2M/$149M
5. Bad Teacher- $9M/$78.8M
6. Larry Crowne- $6.26M/$26.5M
A 52% drop from last week pretty much assures that this might be the biggest flop of Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts' recent careers. Yikes.
7. Super 8- $4.83M/$118M
8. Monte Carlo- $3.8M/$16.1M
9. Green Lantern- $3.12M/$110M
I wonder if the Green Lantern Corp is scared of being a flop? They should be.
10. Mr. Popper's Penguins- $2.85M/$57.7M
