Rob Corddry in Jonathan Levine's zombie rom-com, Warm Bodies

On a list of my favorite up and coming filmmaker, Jonathan Levine may just be at the top. Actually it's almost unfair to put him in that category, because the three films I've seen from him have been remarkable accomplishments. The teen horror All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is the best the genre's seen in years. The Wackness is a bit uneven, but packs a number of great performances in a story with a lot of heart. And 50/50, the comedy/drama starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a cancer victim(yes it IS a comedy!!) I think is going to turn some heads when it comes out next month.  But Levine's got another film coming up soon after, and this could be the best yet just based on concept.

Back in March, Nicholas Hoult(About a Boy) and Teresa Palmer(Take Me Home Tonight) joined the cast of Warm Bodies, a romantic comedy set in a world where a zombie plague has pretty much wiped everybody out. Hoult will play R, a zombie who forms a relationship with Julie(Palmer), the girlfriend of one of his victims, and seeks to protect her from the plague. Sound cool? Yeah, I thought so too.

Variety is now reporting that funnyman Rob Corddry has joined the cast, playing another zombie and friend of R's. Corddry was last seen in the Ed Helms comedy, Cedar Rapids.
