* Aly Michalka, last seen getting her belly piercing ripped out by Leighton Meester in The Roommate, has joined the cast of Long Time Gone, the directorial debut of producer Sarah Siegel-Magness(Precious). The film stars Meg Ryan as a woman who suffers a nervous breakdown after her husband leaves her. Michalka will play a local girl who went to school with one of Ryan's two sons, and finds herself attracted to him. Amanda Crew(Sex Drive), Zach Gilford, Graham Rogers, Travis Fimmel, and Madeline Zima(Californication) also star.
* Hobo with a Shotgun director Jason Eisener(check out interview with him here) is already neck deep into his next project, and this sounds even crazier than the last. Titled Blatant Violence High, the film is a martial arts brawler set in a world similar to that of Hobo, only it involves wacky high school characters. Eisener says it's partially inspired by the video game, Vigilante, which if you've played it is pretty insane. You can check out a photo of the set shoot right here. [BleedingCool]
* Adam Green, who horror fans will recognize as the director of Frozen and both Hatchet films, let slip to Bleeding Cool that the third of his Hatchet films is on the way, with shooting to hopefully begin in February. As for who will direct? He won't say, but does clue us in to the fact that his choice is someone who has been with the Hatchet movies all along, and he "works on a lot of big movies". Hmmm...
