franchise. But she's going back to her roots so to speak, as she'll lend her voice to an adaptation of Mickey Rapkin's book, Perfect Pitch
.Kendrick will play a rebellious goth girl and student at a college in which her father is a professor. She discovers her voice by becoming the secret weapon of the school's all-female acapella group. Rebel Wilson(Bridesmaids
) is the only other cast member confirmed at this stage. Jason Moore, director of a string of lousy teen dramas like One Tree Hill 
and Dawson's Creek
, is at the helm. Kendrick's deal is still pretty early on, but seems like it's all but in the bag. Shooting is set to begin in New Orleans in the fall. Before that, she'll be seen opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen in the cancer comedy, 50/50.
