More interesting(and funny) than the many spoof or fanmade trailers of The Avengers is trying to figure out why certain ones latch on while others don't. For instance, this latest one by the comedy group, Dumb Drum, has been a hit all over the internet and even featured on G4's Attack of the Show. Basically it's just a straight parody of The Avengers trailer, with various average dudes playing out the roles of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Nick Fury. There's even a chick in an ugly red mop as the Black Widow. Other than the flipping, burning toy cars it didn't really make me laugh. So it makes me wonder what all the hype is over?
