Jason Sudeikis joins Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in Dog Fight

2011 may have gotten off to a rocky start for Jason Sudeikis with the average Farrelly Brothers comedy, Hall Pass. But the funnyman has spent the rest of the year making up for it in a big way, as arguably the best part of Horrible Bosses, and starring in the highly underrated A Good Old Fashioned Orgy. He also hosted something called the MTV Movie Awards which I've never heard of before. It's probably something awful and worth being ignored.

If Sudeikis hadn't already shot to the forefront of the comedy landscape, maybe co-starring alongside two heavyweights will do the trick. He's just signed on for an undisclosed role in Dog Fight, the political comedy starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. The film centers on two rival politicians jockeying for votes in a small congressional district.

Jay Roach will direct, no stranger to election season flicks as director of Recount and the upcoming Game Change. Sarah Baker and Katherine LaNasa co-star, with the film set to hit theaters on August 10th 2012.

The only problem is it won't be half as funny(and disturbing) as the Republican debates. By the time Dog Fight opens we'll have endured 12000 of them. [THR]
