Milla Jojovich's Twitter feed has been a fountain of information in regards to the upcoming Resident Evil: Retribution. She's broken pretty much every bit of news about the film, revealing the roles of many of the new additions to the film, such as Li Bingbing as Ada Wong and Johann Urb as Leon Kennedy. When Kevin Durand(Real Steel) joined a couple of weeks ago, exactly who he would play was also left up in the air. Until now that is.
Durand will play Barry Burton, a supporting character in the first Resident Evil video game, but becomes a major player in RE's 3 and 5. A member of STARS just like Jill Valentine(Sienna Guillory) and Chris Redfield(Wentworth Miller, who won't be returning), Burton is blackmailed by the evil Albert Wesker(Shawn Roberts) into doing his bidding. Just how close his role in the movie will stick to that of the game is anybody's guess.
Filming on Resident Evil: Retribution is underway, set for release on September 14th 2012.
