Sure Shots: Neighborhood Watch; Alec Baldwin & Steve Martin; The Lords of Salem
* Another actor that's hard to pin down is Billy Crudup, once a Hollywood darling after Sleepers and Inventing the Abbots, he rose to prominence with 2000's Almost Famous. Since then he's done everything in his power not to be a star, but his acting speaks for itself. The former Watchmen star has joined the cast of the high powered ensemble comedy, Neighborhood Watch. He'll join Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Richard Ayoade, Jonah Hill, Rosemarie Dewitt, Will Forte, and Nicholas Braun. Crudup will play a "creepy and weird neighbor" in the film featuring a script by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, directed by Akiva Schaffer. [THR]
* If you find the comedic pairing of Alec Baldin and Steve Martin to your liking, then this news should make you happy. Deadline reports that New Line is on the verge of picking up a comedy pitch which would see the duo paired up with Adam Shankman(Hairspray, Rock of Ages). Details are pretty thin right now, but the story is being described as a cross between Grumpy Old Men and Trading Places.
* Dee Wallace, who last worked with Rob Zombie in his remake of Halloween, has joined his latest horror, The Lords of Salem. Sherri Moon Zombie, Bruce Dern, Meg Foster, and more star in the story of a coven of witches unleashed on the modern world. [Shocktilyoudrop]
