Sure Shots: Scott Cooper; Arthur & Lancelot; The Fast and the Furious
* Scott Cooper(Crazy Heart) will an adaptation of Mark Seal's novel, The Man in the Rockefeller Suit. The true story centers on Christian Gerhartsreiter, a German immigrant and con man who spent years passing himself off as Clark Rockefeller, born into the wealthy and prominent Rockefeller clan. In 2008 he was charged and convicted in the kidnapping of his own daughter, and in 2011 charged with the murder of an old associate back in 1985. [Deadline]
* A few months ago, Warner Brothers had a wealth of King Arthur projects at their disposal. But as it stands now, only one remains, Arthur & Lancelot, from Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin. The contemporary tale of Arthur and his Knights of the Round has already been set for a March 15th, 2013 release date, but no casting has been announced as of yet. Frontrunners are emerging, however, in Kit Harrington(Game of Thrones) and Joel Kinnaman(The Killing).
* A small update on the story from earlier this month, alluding to the idea of the next two Fast and the Furious movies shooting back-to-back in Europe(with Jason Statham joining). That appears to be the case, but now word comes down that these won't be two separate stories, but one so big it requires two flicks to tell the whole tale. Are there that many friggin' cars in the whole world? Who knows? But Just Lin may be afforded more time to get it done, meaning the May 24th 2013 release date may get pushed back. [24 Frames]
