Combine the numerical paranoia of The Number 23 with the scope of Alex Proyas' Knowing and what you get is 11-11-11, the latest horror-thriller from Darren Lynn Bousman(Saw II). After looking like it may not ever hit theaters, Rocket Releasing and Big Air Studios swooped in and of course the film will now land, when else, November 11th 2011.
The film centers on Joseph Crone, an acclaimed American author who leaves the United States for Barcelona after the deaths of his wife and child. Reuniting with his estranged brother and dying father, Joseph soon starts experiencing a number of strange events, all seeming to involve the number 11. As he becomes more obsessed with the number, he soon starts to realize that 11/11/11 is more than just another date, it's a terrible warning.
