It could be argued(likely by me) that most Brett Ratner movies aren't worth $5.99, much less the $59.99 you can pay to watch the Tower Heist on VOD. Early or not, for that amount of money it better come with a meal and a hooker. Otherwise, forget it.
The film actually doesn't look too bad, and promises all those bad jokes about Chinese people we were subjected to in the Rush Hour flicks will now be replaced those targeted at the rich. That's a win in my book.
Tower Heist stars Ben Stiller as the manager of a luxury high rise, who, along with the rest of the staff, lose their pension and life savings to a white collar criminal(Alan Alda) living in the building. With the help of a petty crook(Eddie Murphy), they undertake a crime to get their money back. I'm sure it all goes swimmingly. Matthew Broderick, Tea Leoni, Casey Affleck, Gabourey Sidibe, and Michael Pena co-star.
