Sure Shots: Crank 3; Rachel McAdams; Will Gluck

* If you've ever wanted to see Jason Statham juice himself up with power cables or bang out Amy Smart in the middle of the street as a means of staying alive(gotta try that excuse) then the Crank movies have been for you. Directed by the madcap duo of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the two films so far have taken on a cult favorite status for basically being like live-action video games. Will there ever be a third film in the series, though? All has been silent on that front until Neveldine was asked about it while doing press for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, where he says that it "is going to happen". And who does he want to be in it? Idris Elba. Jason Statham vs. Stringer Bell? Check please!  [Empire]

* Rachel McAdams never got to share a scene with Noomi Rapace in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, but if this next deal comes together the two will be practically inseparable. She is apparently close to joining Passion, Brian De Palma's remake of the French workplace thriller, Love Crime, which Rapace is starring in. The original film, which was only released last year and is good enough on it's own, starred Kristin Scott Thomas and Ludivine Sagnier as a business exec and assistant, respectively. When the the older woman's humiliating and demeaning tactics become too much for her young assistant to handle, things turn deadly. [AnneThompson]

* 3/3 for Will Gluck? After scoring two surprise hits in a row with Easy A and Friends with Benefits, he will now produce and direct Secretaries Day, from writer Drew Pearce(Iron Man 3). Plot details are few, but it's being described as an action comedy. [Deadline]
