As expected, of the two competing biopics on Deep Throat pornstar Linda Lovelace, the one to gain the most traction is the one featuring Amanda Seyfried in the title role. Some of that has to do with seeing the star of such tween hits as Letters to Juliet and Dear John in a much more "adult" role, but also it has to do with the phenomenal cast that directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman have put together. Until yesterday that cast included Demi Moore, who was set to play feminist activist, Gloria Steinem. Moore dropped out to attend to personal issues, some health related and others I'm sure are Kutcher-inflicted.
While not filling the role Moore vacated, THR reports that Chloe Sevigny(Kids) has joined the cast, playing a feminist journalist working for a men's magazine, sent to discover who the real Linda Lovelace was. With a good deal of the story being presented in flashback as Lovelace gives an interview, it's possible Sevigny may be the one doing the chronicling.
Lovelace stars Peter Sarsgaard, Juno Temple, Hank Azaria, Adam Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Sharon Stone, Debi Mazar, Wes Bentley,Romeo Brown, Robert Patrick, Eric Roberts, and a cameo by James Franco as Hugh Hefner.
