Trailer Time: '7500', starring Ryan Kwanten and Amy Smart

Airplane travel can be irritating enough, what with families and their screaming babies, overly talkative passengers, the occasional turbulence, and assholes who think they're too good to turn off their electronic devices. I always seem to be sitting next to the one guy who refuses to put his friggin' IPhone in 'Airplane Mode" and stow it for like five minutes so we can take off. It's stupid. But as bad as those things are, at least I've never had to deal with a damn poltergeist terrorizing the flight. That seems rather counterproductive and a hindrance to getting from point A to point B.

7500 is the latest horror from Takashi Shimizu(The Grudge), and features a fun C-list cast including Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Jamie Chung, Leslie Bibb, Scout Taylor Compton, and Jerry Ferrara as various passengers and attendants on a flight taken over by a supernatural force. CBS Films has released the first teaser trailer for the film, and I'm kinda stoked for it now. It doesn't appear to take itself too seriously, and I have a thing for these compressed, single set thrillers. I even dig the spooky version of 'Leaving On A Jet Plane" playing throughout.

7500 will open on August 31st, and it'll be interesting to see what kind of push it gets or if it'll turn up straight to VOD or something....[IGN]
