James Wan adds Joey King and Mackenzie Foy to his upcoming horror, 'The Warren Files'

Fresh off the news that James Wan would be returning to take on a sequel to last year's hit psycho horror, Insidious, the director appears to be ramping up production on his next film. Formerly titled The Conjuring, it now has the far less intriguing title of The Warren Files, which sounds like some cop drama from the 1970s or something. Along with the name change comes the addition of two young, up 'n coming actresses to the cast.

Joey King(Ramona and Beezus) and Mackenzie Foy will play the Perron children in the film, which is based on the "true" story of the Perron family, who claimed their Rhode Island house was some sort of gateway for friendly and malevolent spirits. Their story was told in the autobiography written by Andrea Perron, House of Darkness, House of Light: The True Story.

Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson were the first to be cast in the film, playing Ed and Loraine Warren, a pair of supernatural investigators looking into the Perron story, while Ron Livingston and Lily Taylor will play the Perron parents. King will be seen next playing a young Talia Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises, while Foy is currently starring as Renesmee in both chapters of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. [Variety]
