Joaquin Phoenix, Samantha Morton, Amy Adams, and Carey Mulligan circling untitled Spike Jonze romance

Even though he's only directed three feature films, anytime Spike Jonze releases another one it's like a major event. It's been a few years since his unappreciated adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are, and while he's kept himself plenty busy, he's got a couple of major projects in the works with some talented folks.

Deadline reports that Jonze has lined up Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Samantha Morton, and Carey Mulligan(!!!!) to star in an as yet untitled romance about a man who falls in love with a computer voice. Y'know, like that Siri program on your Iphone 4? Jonze will not only direct, but also wrote the script. This isn't to be confused with the political satire we first heard about last year, which also has Phoenix and Mulligan attached. That one features a script by Charlie Kaufman, who Jonze worked with on Adaptation and Being John Malkovich.

There isn't much more information, but do you really need any with all those people involved? Let's hope more details become available real soon.
