John Goodman joins Clint Eastwood in 'Trouble with the Curve'

If Trouble with the Curve is going to be Clint Eastwood's swan song as an actor, he sure couldn't have asked for a better cast to be surrounded by. Already sporting Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, and Matthew Lillard, John Goodman is the latest to join the baseball themed road trip drama.

Directed by Eastwood's longtime production partner, Robert Lorenz, the story centers on an aging baseball scout who is losing his eyesight, and goes on one last trip with his daughter to check out a young prospect. Goodman will play Peter Klein, a fellow scout and old friend to Eastwood's character who thinks he still can spot quality talent. Timberlake will play an ex-pitcher and potential love interest to Adams' character, while Lillard is a rival scout.

Goodman and Timberlake will be spending a lot of time together this year as both will also be featured in The Coen Brothers' folk music tale, Inside Llewyn Davis. Trouble With the Curve is set to hit theaters on September 28th, so expect filming to begin shortly. [Variety]
