"Love means never having to say you're sorry." Generally considered one of the greatest romances ever told, Love Story is also one of my own personal favorites thanks to the luminous Ali McGraw and the finest performance of Ryan O'Neal's career. The chemistry between the two is truly something special to behold. The story tells of the bittersweet romance between Oliver, a wealthy Harvard grad, and Jenny, a quick-witted, blue collar girl who instantly steals his heart.
Don't be shocked. The Twilight movies certainly aren't for everybody, but is there any franchise that delivers what it audience wants more effectively? Probably not, as the escalating box office and increasing anticipation for the finale prove. The first chapter of Breaking Dawn has weddings, births, rivalry, and a clear feeling that what was once just a silly high school romance drama has finally grown up.
If you found the cruel treatment of the chimps early on in Rise of the Planet of the Apes disturbing, then you might be surprised to realize much of it was taken from the true story of Nim Chimpsky. Directed by famed documentarian, James Marsh(Man On Wire), Project NIM tells the heartbreaking story of Chimpsky, who in the 1970s became part of a controversial experiment to raise him like a normal human child. While the experiment was done with the best of intentions, to test the extent of chimpanzee communication and language if raised as a human, it quickly becomes apparent that human judgements and weaknesses make for a bad combination with an animal's natural instincts.
