1st look at Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg in 'Kill Your Darlings'
The works of Jack Kerouac and his Beat Generation colleagues are poised to reach a whole new audience in the next few months, and I for one couldn't be happier about it. We've already got tween queen Kristen Stewart featured in Walter Salles' adaptation of On the Road(check out the trailer here), and some time after that we'll get Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe as one of the Beats in Kill Your Darlings.
Radcliffe will play poet extraordinaire, Allen Ginsberg, famous for his epic poem, 'Howl'. Sporting an amazing cast including Elizabeth Olsen as Edie Parker, Jack Huston as Jack Kerouac, Ben Foster as William S. Burroughs, and Dane DeHaan as Lucien Carr, the film details a 1944 murder committed by Carr against his possible lover. Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Kyra Sedgewick co-star.
The first image has been revealed courtesy of EW, featuring Radcliffe as a college aged Ginsberg, looking quite Potter-esque with his big glasses and mussy hair. Filming is underway now, so hopefully we'll start hearing possible release date info soon.
