Guy Pearce, superhero? Well, not quite, but after a rip roaring and hilarious turn as the antihero in Lockout, don't be surprised if it happens one day. For now we'll have to settle for him in a supporting bit in Iron Man 3.
Pearce will play geneticist Aldrich Killian in the story based on the epic Extremis storyline that involves Tony Stark(Robert Downey Jr.) facing a nanobot powered foe. It's a crucial story for Stark, who uses the technology to transform his body and become infinitely more powerful. In the book, Killian creates the nano-virus for the military, but steals it and gives it to others with a sinister agenda.
Much like his role as Peter Weyland in Prometheus, Pearce will likely be on screen briefly but make a huge impact. Iron Man 3 is set to open on May 3rd 2013!
