Mark Ruffalo joins Steve Carell and Channing Tatum in 'Foxcatcher'

Crazy as it may sound, playing the Hulk might be the least interesting thing Mark Ruffalo's got coming up. Not only will be factor into Now You See Me, the great looking magician heist film due out next year, but now he's signing on for the next film from Capote and Moneyball director, Bennett Miller.

Ruffalo is joining the cast of Foxcatcher, which already has Steve Carell and Channing Tatum.  The oddball true story has Carell playing John Du Pont, a bird watching multimillionaire and paranoid schizophrenic who builds an Olympic level training facility for athletes on his Pennsylvania estate. In a shocking twist of fate, Du Pont would murder Olympic freestyle wrestler, Dave Schultz, thinking he was part of some conspiracy.  Last October when Tatum came aboard he was reported to be taking on the Schultz role, but now Variety states that the part if Ruffalo's, with Tatum playing his younger brother, Mark Schultz.

So yeah, this is an off little flick, but nobody could be a better choice for it than Miller and co-writer Dan Futterman who have a knack for humanizing quirky, prominent characters.  Filming is set to begin this October.
