Morgan Spurlock knows this, and takes the focus off himself for the first time in a documentary that explores the rather unique individuals who call San Diego Comic-Con their home for a few days out of every year. Featuring the insights of Joss Whedon, Kevin Smith, Stan Lee and dozens of other geek icons, Spurlock explores how the event grew to be the world's greatest annual entertainment epicenter.
1. The Cabin in the Woods
After years in release date Hell thanks to MGM's bankruptcy, Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's unpredictable horror makes it's way into theaters and it's unlike anything you've ever seen. A young Chris Hemsworth leads a group of horny youngsters who find trouble in a secluded cabin in the middle of nowhere. Sound familiar? It won't look that way for long....
DVD Pick of the Week: The Iron Lady
Meryl Streep earned her third Best Actress Academy Award victory for a powerful(if inconsistent) performance as Margaret Thatcher, Britain's first female Prime Minister. Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, the film follows Thatcher's career in the male dominated Parliament, never backing down from world leaders or her political enemies, who constantly sought her undoing.
