Brad Pitt talks murder in the latest 'Killing Them Softly' clip


A few days ago, with the reveal of a surprisingly patriotic poster for Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly, I questioned the reasons for the image spotlighting the American flag. I got some interesting responses in my email, and most of them said the same thing. The story is set during a Presidential election, and has much to do with the violence and greed that have ruined men and this country. Sounds like fun. The film premiered this week at Cannes and has received some of the best reviews from the festival, which makes the wait for its September 21st release date all the harder to take.

Based on George V. Higgins' novel, Cogan's Trade, Brad Pitt star as Jackie Cogan, an enforcer investigating the robbery of a mob controlled, high stakes poker game. In this newly released clip, we see him discussing the terms of a job with a middleman played by Richard Jenkins, and also his preferred method of dispatching his targets so as to stay detached.
