Emma Watson in talks to join 'Noah' opposite Russell Crowe

The post-Harry Potter career of Emma Watson has seen her take on a number of diverse projects. From the upcoming teen drama, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, to Guillermo Del Toro's Beauty and the Beast, and Seth Rogen's The End of the World, she's been more than willing to expand her horizons. One film she remains attached to is Your Voice In My Head, which was to have her Harry Potter director David Yates on board. He had to drop out due to personal reasons, and it's possible the film will be delayed as a new director is found. So rather than taking that time to relax, Watson has decided to take on another project that is rapidly gaining steam.

Deadline reports Watson may be joining Noah, the Biblical epic being put together by Darren Aronofsky. The story follows the building of Noah's famous ark, in preparation for God's great flood. If signed, Watson would play Ila, who develops a relationship with Noah's son, Shem, played by Douglas Booth. Saoirse Ronan and Watson's 'Wallflower' co-star, Logan Lerman, are attached as well.

It looks like Jennifer Connelly's participation as Noah's wife is still up in the air. Nor has the so-called villain of the piece been found. There's plenty of time, though, as Noah isn't set to release until March 28th 2014.
