Three new clips from 'The Amazing Spider-Man'

Columbia Pictures hasn't slowed down in their hype for The Amazing Spider-Man, apparently with no fear of overkill or giving away too much. They're probably right, in that a film like this is going to draw people in no matter what, as many are curious to see if Marc Webb, Andrew Garfield, and Emma Stone can recapture what Sam Raimi frittered away with his Spider-Man trilogy. Continuing the build to the July 3rd release, Columbia Pictures has released three new clips, including one that was arguably my favorite from the entire movie.

The first features Spider-Man down in a drainage sewer tracking down The Lizard(Rhys Ifans), and in what is an inspired bit that we've really only seen in the comics, Spidey uses the vibration in his webbing as a sort of radar.  Little touches like that are all over the place in the film and are part of what makes it a completely new experience. Is it better than the previous movies? Eh, you'll have to wait for my review next Tuesday.

The other two clips are taken from the same sequence, as The Lizard causes havoc on a crowded bridge while trying to track down Dr. Rajit Ratha(Irrfan Khan), who has close ties to another important figure in Spider-Man's world.

Check out the three clips below....
