I don't usually post featurettes because they rarely tell us anything new. It's usually just a movie's stars sitting around talking about how perfect everything was, even when we know darn well that wasn't the case. But this is The Dark Knight Rises, and 13-minutes of Christopher Nolan, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, and the rest of the cast discussing the movie event of the year is always worth a look.
The footage is broken up so that practically every major character gets their moment, with new faces like Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt weighing in as well. The rest features some of the incredible lengths that Nolan and his crew went to in order to make this the epic finale we all expect it to be. The best bits are with his long-time cinematographer, Wally Pfister,and the people behind the scenes bringing Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy(as a producer dubs it) to life.
Word of mouth is starting to spread from the early screenings, and so far what I've heard has been extremely positive. We'll see whether it can meet all of our lofty expectations when The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20th....
