I guess we should be happy that the chances of Gary Oldman dropping out of Robocop the way Hugh Laurie did have significantly decreased, because his business partner and manager Douglas Urbanski has just joined him in the cast. Urbanski is best known for running the DMG talent management firm, and also for exec-producing a number of films including Oldman's Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
This isn't Urbanski's first time in front of the camera, either. He memorably played Harvard President Larry Summers in The Social Network and has acted on stage in the past. In Robocop he'll play the mayor of Detroit, joining a cast a that includes Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jay Baruchel, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
