Sure Shots: Emmy Rossum; Nikolaj Coster-Waldau; Tye Sheridan

* Emmy Rossum, who looks mean, sexy, and nasty in the upcoming adaptation of Beautiful Creatures, is venturing into more grounded, sobering territory for her next film. The Shameless star will join Hilary Swank in You're Not You, which we learned about late last month. Directed by George C. Wolfe and based on the novel by Michelle Wildgen, the story follows a self-absorbed college student(Rossum) who sees her life changed when she takes a part-time job as caretaker to a woman(Swank) stricken with ALS. * Game of Thrones continues to be a fertile proving ground for future leading men, as Nikolas Coster-Waldau has lined up another indie flick, joining Juliette Binoche in A Thousand Times Good Night. Based in part on the wartime experiences of co-writer/director Erik Poppe(Hawaii, Oslo), Binoche will play a war photographer torn between her job and family. Waldau was excellent n the recent Norwegian crime-thriller Headhunters(review here), and will be seen next opposite Jessica Chastain in Mama.  [Variety]

* If you're young actor Tye Sheridan, it must be pretty awesome to know that the last three directors you've worked with are Terrence Malick(The Tree of Life), Jeff Nichols(Mud), and now David Gordon Green(George Washington). Sheridan has joined Green's southern drama, Joe, which has Nicolas Cage attached to star as an ex-con who becomes a role model to the 15-year old son of a homeless family with a drunken father.
