Nick Frost and Chris O'Dowd in a revenge comedy centering on salsa dancing? Yes please! Ever since it was announced earlier this year, Cuban Fury has been high on my list of next year's must-see flicks. Unfortunately it doesn't have a release date here yet, opening in the UK late in March. But you know with those two squaring off, along with the red hot Rashida Jones in a supporting role, it'll find a way to our shores sooner rather than later.
The first photos from Cuban Fury have been revealed along with a more extensive official synopsis. The pics show Frost getting all hot and steamy on the dance floor, along with one snap of Jones as her usual perky and cheery self. I'm not sure what the heck is going on in the other, if it's a dance move or a complicated wrestling submission hold. Either way it looks painful. 1987: A 13 year old natural born dancer with fire in his heels and snakes in his hips is working himself up to reign over the UK Junior Salsa Championships. But then… a freakish bullying incident on the mean streets of London robs him of his confidence, and our young hero finds his life diverted down a very different path.
