"They can't keep their mouth shut about nothin'." Clearly, the ability, or lack thereof, to keep secrets is going to play a major role in Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly, a film that has been slowly gaining momentum as we inch closer to its release at the end of the month. Based on the newly released trailer, it sounds like those who can't stay quiet may be in for a rude awakening at the hands of mob enforcer, Jackie Cogan, played by Brad Pitt.
We've seen a number of spots for the film already, so you probably know the drill by now. A high-stakes mob-controlled poker game gets robbed, and Jackie is brought in to try and find the culprits. What's made more clear in this trailer is that Marky(Ray Liotta) once robbed his own poker match, which makes him an instant suspect. We also get a look at some of the dark humor as some moron stands a bit too close to an exploding car, and also the impacts of the economic downturn on the criminal element.
We'll be checking out Killing Them Softly on Monday night, so look for our review on November 30th....[IGN]
