We should be treated to a brand new trailer for Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful probably later this week, but for now USA Today has a handful of new photos to whet our appetites. The stunningly detailed and gorgeous "origin" to Frank L.Baum's The Wizard of Oz stars James Franco as small-time magician and petty thief Oscar Diggs, who is swept to the magical land where he thinks he's hit the jackpot.
The new shots give us a new look at Franco talking to China Girl(Joey King), who appears to be a more important character than previous thought. We also see Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz in a nasty looking showdown as witches Evanora and Theodora. Also, Michelle Williams shows off her power as Glynda the "good witch", while one of those flying monkeys hits the bricks.
Oz: The Great and Powerful opens in 3D and IMAX on March 8th....
