The Collectors arrive in new clip from 'Mass Effect: Paragon Lost'
There's a pretty good chance we've seen the last of Bioware's Mass Effect series of RPG video games. The Mass Effect Trilogy Edition was just released a couple of days ago, effectively putting a cap on the best-selling science fiction franchise on home consoles. It's hardly the end of the story, though, as it's basically become a staple of a number of different forms of media including comics, novels, handheld games, and now an upcoming animated feature.
We've been keeping close tabs on Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, the animated prequel due to hit store shelves next month. A 9-minute clip was unveiled a couple of weeks ago, preceded by an excellent trailer, and now this clip provides a look at the alien Collectors. The story is a direct bridge to Mass Effect 3, and follows Alliance marine James Vega(voiced by Freddie Prinze) as he protects a remote colony from the Collectors' attack.
Mass Effect: Paragon Lost hits DVD/Blu-Ray on December 28th, but will have a very brief theatrical run starting November 29th.
