I usually don't pay attention to the voice casting for animated flicks because...well, who really cares? Couldn't they just hire some regular dude who sounds like Will Ferrell? But the cast for Lego: The Piece of Resistance is pretty cool, and since they've been doing some great things lately with the Lego short films and video games, there's no doubt it will be top notch as well.
The latest to lend their voices are Will Ferrell, Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, and Liam Neeson, joining the already cast Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman, and Elizabeth Banks. The story follows Emmett, a regular Lego who is mistaken for a Master Builder and is drafted into a fellowship formed to save the world from an evil tyrant. Ferrell will play the primary enemy, President Business, with Neeson as his henchman, Bad Cop. Offerman is a revenge-seeking pirate, while Brie is a member of Emmett's group with a powerful secret.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller(21 Jump Street) are directing alongside Chris McKay(Robot Chicken) for release on February 7th 2014.
