Dennis Haysbert to replace Michael Clarke Duncan in 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For'

Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller have been down in Austin filming Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and while we're already aware of some of the casting, a great deal remains due to the extremely large ensemble. Some roles are being recast, like Jamie Chung replacing Devon Aoki as the assassin, Miho. There's also been some talk of Clive Owen's Dwight character being played by another. But one character that unfortunately must be recast is Manute, who Michael Clarke Duncan portrayed in Sin City.

Dennis Haysbert, who I will always know as Pedro Cerrano in Major League("I say f**k you, Jobu"!), has been set to replace Duncan, who sadly passed away back in September. Manute plays a pretty large role in A Dame To Kill For, the comic from which a large part of the story will be based. We're still waiting to find out who Rodriguez will pick for the role of Ava Lord, the titular "dame" of the piece. Angelina Jolie had been eyed for it, but that now seems unlikely.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is due to open on October 4th 2013.[THR]
