The last poster we saw for Michael Bay's "small budget" crime film, Pain and Gain, was unlike anything we'd ever seen from the director. No explosions, no superstars, nothing that screamed "Michael Bay was here". But now we've got a new one-sheet for the film, and this is more like what we expected, with stars Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg looking buff 'n tough in front of a big ol' American flag.
Johnson and Wahlberg play two Florida bodybuilders also part of a criminal ring specializing in extortion, kidnapping, and murder. Kidnapping a wealthy businessman to hold for ransom, the scheme takes a violent turn for the worse. Ed Harris plays Ed Du Bois, the cop who is on their trail. Rebel Wilson, Anthony Mackie, Ken Jeong, Rob Corddry, Tony Shalhoub, and Bar Paly co-star.
Pain and Gain opens on April 26th 2013.
