Remember Turtle-Gate? It seems like a long time ago when TMNT fans went apedump insane over the Michael Bay-produced, Jonathan Liebesman-directed Ninja Turtles flick. The shortened title alone caused a ton of controversy, but it was only made worse by Bay stating they'd be of alien origin and not even teenagers. Production was halted last June to do some rewrites, and now Production Weekly says it's ready to go for this April....
Principle photography on TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, is scheduled to begin this April in New York.Note the title they use. Could they have gone back to the drawing board completely in order to quiet the fan outcry? Let's hope so!
