Over the last few days we've seen quite the uptick in activity surrounding Harmony Korine's gonzo comedy crime comedy, Spring Breakers. A number of posters have emerged showing off the cast which includes Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and James Franco. Now as Vulture releases what is undoubtedly the best poster yet, and one of the coolest I've seen in awhile, also comes the news of when the film will finally hit theaters.
March 22nd has been slotted for a limited release, with a bigger run to begin on the 29th. That puts up against some heavy competition both weekends, facing off against The Croods, The Place Beyond the Pines, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and The Host.
The story involves four college girls who get arrested trying to rob a fast food joint to pay for their annual spring break. They're bailed out by a gangsta rappin' local thug named Alien(Franco) who gets them to do his dirty work.
With the release only a couple of months away, we should be getting a new trailer pretty soon.
