The Golden Raspberries aka The Razzies haven't meant a squirt of anything in a long time. They used to be cool and relevant, a way to dishonor those films which stunk up the joint during the year. What it's since become is worthy of mockery itself, always playing it safe and taking the easy way out. Nobody's going to complain if you nominate Twilight or Adam Sandler every single year, but that's sort of the problem. Nobody complains. The Razzies get covered, including right now by me, and that seems to really be the only reason they continue to exist.
Nevertheless, the nominees for this year's Razzies have been announced and Breaking Dawn pt. 2 was in every single category, sometimes more than once. Sandler was nipping at its heels with eight nominations for That's My Boy, followed closely by Battleship with seven, and there's Tyler Perry earning a Worst Actor for Alex Cross, to go along with four other nominations.
