Silver Circle is an animated action film about a group of underground rebels, who take up arms and fight back against a tyrannical, out of control government. No, it's not some Star Wars spinoff flick. It's instead a Libertarian screed about rising up and overthrowing the Federal Reserve so we can institute the gold standard. Seriously.
With blocky animation closely resembling crash test dummy analysis, the story follows rebel leader Zoe Taylor, who fights against the Federal Reserve's oppression, crossing paths with federal agent Jay Taylor. As they fall in love, he begins to question his commitment to the federal government, and the world is saved with Ron Paul named leader of the newly free world or something. Paul actually hit up a Financial Services Committee last year and held up a "silver circle", the unit of money used in the film. Coincidentally, you can buy your own such circle at the film's website. Free market and political synergy at its finest.I take it the insubstantial crowd who let two Atlas Shrugged flicks bomb are the primary audience for this one. But, obviously, those folks don't pay to see movies. So what's the point? Silver Circle opens on March 22nd. It's not for me, but if any of our readers happen to catch it, we'd love a review.
